UKAPES efforts to raise teaching and learning standards through teacher professional development is gathering momentum and not gone unnoticed by members of the public. It is in this vein that a UKAPES supporter referred Veronica Philocles to donate a shed load of educational resources to the total of £5000, acquired over the years for the sole purpose of donating to under-resourced schools in any part of Africa. UKAPES jumped at the opportunity, selected a school in Freetown and arranged for the shipment.
We deeply appreciate this wonderful generousity and are delighted that Veronica has chosen to recognise UKAPES for its work of transferring teaching and learning skills through teacher development and to utilise UKAPES platform for the donation.
